I am hungry

I read this in one of my friend's facebook and thought how true it is...Forgive my rusty translation but just wanted to share it with you gals...
"I am hungry" is a very testing sentence... If you tell your mum: I'm hungry! The mother immediately gets up and say: I'll go cook! Tell your dad: I'm hungry! Dad would laugh and say: come, let's go out and eat! Tell your boyfriend: I'm hungry! He asks softly: what do you feel like eating? And if you tell your girlfriend: I'm hungry! She will always answer: Me too! ! !
hehehe....true right?!

Quote of the Day

"The constant fear of losing people dear to you is worse than losing them itself. Just live every moment together. Cherish the times you have together. Make memories together. Don't worry too much about your future together. If people are meant to stay in your life, they would.... Also be open to the fact that some people are just passing through. Some people enter our lives to teach us something, guide us, a lesson we need to learn, and that's why they are there at that moment in our lives. Don't long too much for someone from the past. Move on. God has His reasons why some never made it to your future and usually it's for your own good"

Dream

Had a weird but nice dream last night. Apparently i was friends with this dude who is an Andy Murray look-alike. For those of you who don't know Andy is a tennis player currently ranked 4th in the world.

Anyway, the setting was kind of like from the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai set - good friends then turned out that one of them likes the other... Both of us did everything together, can't remember what we did but we were always together. One fine day i realised i was infatuated with him (oh, by the way, his name was Dara in my dream. No idea why that name, it just appeared in my dream). I tried so hard to act natural since then and i managed to but then one day, after tennis session (duh!!) we ordered in a large size pizza and fell asleep on the bed of exhaustion and indigestion. I noticed then that i was a third person so i saw Dara spooning me (hehehe...jangan!!). Both of us were sound asleep. Then Dara woke up, noticed that he was hugging me, actually frozed and was staring at his arms. He then slowly falls back further away from me. But a few seconds later it felt as though a sudden rush of adrenalin and he actually roughly hugged me back...and that was when i woke up.

Now i know this sounds like i am creating a story but sumpah i was dreaming because i actually woke up in the middle of the night (morning??) at i think around 3am and jot down the dream (point form of course ;p). I know if i don't i will forget within an hour.

The weird part for me was why Andy Murray??!! Although he was cute in my dream but kemon arr..everyone knows i am a Rafael Nadal's girl. Man.. if last night was Rafa, i don't think i would have made it to office this morning.

Quote of the day

I was reading this email today from one of my Ozzy friend and he had his default signature on with his name and a quote:

"Middle age is when broadness of the mind and narrowness of the waist change places"

hahahahaha.... i tried to imagine the two changing place and it fits my Ozzy friend very much indeed, then i started laughing...muahahahahaha.

It's true you know about this statement..but i think at the end of the day you do whatever you want to do (before you are dead anyway), right..so then *F* it off!!!! Who cares about broadness and narrowness when you have that great appetite and urge in life.

Mood today: Gloominister (Gloomy + Sinister)

What a life!

Just arrived Bangkok on Sunday night. My bro picked me up from the airport. When i was pushing my luggage cart towards where my bro was standing it suddently hit me: oh man...i will be on a wirlwind foodtrip with my bro and the 5 to 19kg prophecy will definately come true!! Sure enough, he and his girlfriend took me to have duck wantan noodles..yum!

Checked into Fraser Place at Langsuan after dinner - a studio apartment with a reasonable size (will attach the layout later). Most importantly they have a balcony...and to those of my friends who knows me well, they know how significant it is to have a balcony in an apartment! muahahahahaha..... ;p

Anyway, woke up the next morning feeling extra positive of my new work place. I walked to the office which took me about 20 minutes of panting along some small soi (lane), big drains and finally the climb....of many many stairs (jejantas)! Reached All Seasons Place where my office is. OMG! i felt like living amongst the Hi-So (High Society)- 3 towers of tall buildings that includes the Conrad Hotel and a shopping mall. No no no no...this is not good...not good at all..too many distraction!I was thinking of Hanoi and how it felt like living a life of celibacy (refers to a state of abstention from any kind of urge - in short, life of KETANDUSAN KASIH SAYANG)!

Back to the office. Our office is on the 36th floor, room 43. That whole floor has about 40 companies and Bravura is only a small part of it. Small space with only 8 working tables..room is white and it's damn cold! Everyone was nice so far - we have 4 Thais:Tod, Ken, Jeab and Premchit, my new boss whom is on holiday; then we have John, an Americano who can read and write Thai; Gerry ( i think he's Scottish or Irish); Wade who comes and goes and then there's me.

Well, all was good until 4pm yesterday, i was coming back from the little girl's room when my new collegues told me we can all go home for the day.....because the server room who manages all 40 companies' internet was down.... because...jeng jeng jeng...of leaking rain. Boleh tak!!!! Hi-So building like that and you have rain in the server room. But after that i felt better because it means i can go out and shop for some grocery as it will be Songkarn for the next 5 days (incl Sat and Sun). So i walked back (panting again) to the apartment, changed to my flipflops and again walked (this time no more panting) to Central Chidlom and started my healthy diet shopping :-) ..ended up with cheese, pasta, frozen food, chips, and dips, wine, instant noodle and more cheese...Macamana aku nak diet nih!!!!!!

And so my story in Bangkok starts from thereon..today i am working from home, thanks to the "raining" server room. In another hour or so i will be fishing through the food delivery magazine, trying to figure out which restaurant i want my food delivered from.

What a life!

ok, ok..5 to 19kg...Angela...5 to 19kg!

Tam Biet, Anh Gerry

People always say Monday Blues but for me today, Friday i am feeling sad and blue...

My only collegue who has been working on-site with me in Hanoi has flown back to Melbourne today. We had a small party last night, with his family and a few other nice people we have met from our company's other counterpart in Hanoi.
I am going to miss him. He has been very patient and good to me, and i thank him for that.

Well Gerry, here's wishing you, Viet Anh, little Patrick and soon little baby all the best of luck.

Bon voyage!
